JILOCA STONE, S.A. exploits the quarry located in Fuentes de Jiloca (Zaragoza), from which a greater variety of alabaster is extracted exclusively. It has the necessary means for the extraction of the raw stone from which they are obtained: boluses, blocks, slices and plates. From here, work will be carried out until the final transformation into a finished product, which is carried out in the factory of its parent company in Sarreal (Tarragona).
In our quarry there are two very different types of colours, WHITE and TABACCO, but each of these two colours can have different tonalities. It can be lighter, darker, with more veins, with fewer veins, without veins. Alabaster is calcium sulphate, a unique natural stone, and as such we will never find two stones exactly the same colour.
Our quarry is the only one in the world from which Tabacco colour can be extracted and offers the possibility of selling alabaster directly from Jiloca to our customers.
